Gel extension FAQs
Are gel extensions better than acrylic?
For most people, yes — gel extensions are lighter, more flexible, and gentler on the natural nail than acrylic, with no strong fumes. Acrylic can still be a good choice for very long or heavy-use sets; we’ll help you decide at your appointment.
Do gel extensions damage your nails?
When applied and removed properly they’re gentle. We prep without harsh drilling and remove by soaking rather than forcing, so your natural nails stay healthy between sets.
How long do they last?
Most clients get about 2 to 3 weeks before a fill, depending on your nail growth and daily wear. Come in for a fill rather than letting them grow out for the healthiest results.
What’s the difference between GelX and hard gel?
GelX uses a pre-shaped soft-gel tip bonded to your nail; hard gel is sculpted on and shaped by hand. Both are lightweight and durable, and we recommend the best fit for your nails and desired look.
Can I get custom shapes and nail art?
